Kirklees is one of the largest metropolitan councils in the country, serving more than 440,000 residents across a diverse borough of towns, villages and rural communities. We provide hundreds of services that local people rely on every day, and we're continually looking at how we can improve the way we work and the outcomes we achieve for our residents.

Digital, data and technology are becoming increasingly important to that ambition. We've made good progress in some areas, but we know there is more to do if we're going to make the most of the opportunities that modern technology, better use of data and new ways of working can offer.

That's why we're recruiting a new Head of Digital, Data and Technology.

This is an important appointment for us. The role will lead a newly integrated service, bringing together technology and data capabilities and helping shape the future direction of digital across the council. The successful candidate will join us at a point where many of the building blocks are already in place, but where there remains significant scope to influence what comes next.

We're looking for someone who can build on the strengths of our existing teams, work effectively with colleagues across the organisation and help us turn ambition into practical delivery.
