It brings together essential operational services including highways, waste, fleet, street cleansing and environmental operations, all of which play a crucial role in supporting our communities and keeping Kirklees moving. These services are well-established and professionally delivered, but they are ready for transformation. This role gives you the opportunity to lead that change, to modernise systems and processes, harness new technology and data, and create a culture that values excellence and innovation.

This is also a role of real scale and impact. With over 450 staff in Highways alone, a significant capital investment programme, and a major upcoming procurement for our long-term waste and recycling arrangements, you’ll have the opportunity to lead high-profile, complex programmes that matter, for residents, for the organisation, and for the environment.
